My name is Koen. I'm from the Netherlands where I got my degree in Physiotherapy, with specialisations in cognitive psychology, chronic pain and psycho-somatic problems.
After my graduation, I started working as a physiotherapist in the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom. In 2008, I decided to settle in Barcelona and started my own health center under the name Running Barcelona and Physiotherapy Barcelona. A highlight of my career was the mental coaching of marathon runner Nacho Cáceres at the London 2012 Olympics.
In all those years, I noticed that the international community in Barcelona lacked proper CARE and CURE, as people used to have in their countries of origin. Therefore, I founded Healthcare Barcelona, a multidisciplinary and multilingual center with high level international professionals to treat the clients in the same way they expect and deserve.
Dr. Ilham ABDELRAHIM

Hello, I am Dr. Ilham. I did my general practitioner studies in Belgium, with specialisation in tropical medicine and international health.
After I graduated, I gained a variety of experience in treating international child day care centers of psychiatric care and for the medical service of the European Commission Medical Service.
I am particularly interested in aspects of family medicine, including prevention, nutrition, psychology and women’s health. I offer a holistic approach in the form of personalized attention in order to better serve the patient. As an expat myself, I understand the challenges my patients face, dealing with the stress of relocation, new work and family.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and friends, enjoy running and read the latest publications on positive health and preventive medicine.

I'm Daniela, born in Germany. In 2001 I moved to the Netherlands where I also completed my bachelor studies in physiotherapy with a specialisation in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
After working in various physiotherapy practices in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland, I moved with my family to the beautiful city of Barcelona. To meet my colleague Koen in this city and having the possibility to work together with him at Physiotherapy Barcelona, allowed me to continue working following my philosophy of physiotherapy and being able to offer individual treatments with an active approach which makes our profession so interesting.
As well as manual therapy I also specialize in dry needling, core stability training and pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain.

I am Gijs and I’m a graduated physiotherapist from the Netherlands, but made Barcelona my new home, because I am currently doing a five-year chiropractic training at the Barcelona College of Chiropractic.
In addition, I work as a physiotherapist at Physiotherapy Barcelona. In the practice I see all kinds of patients with various complaints.
My aim and vision within physiotherapy is to have a holistic and more active approach, in order to provide the best quality care to my patient.
Besides work and studies, I like to run, cycle and play football with friends. But if I am not doing sports, I like to go out with my girlfriend or friends to enjoy Barcelona.

I graduated as a physiotherapist in the Netherlands and after that I obtained my licenses in the United States and in China. I worked for several years in the orthopedic department of a hospital in Los Angeles, California and later in Chicago. Back in the Netherlands, I worked for five years in a psychiatric hospital and as a physical therapist and acupuncturist with a great variety of patients in private clinics.
In my treatments, the western and eastern approach to diseases come together. I was part of a team Health Professionals in the Netherlands that set up a multidisciplinary approach for people with complex and not understood complaints, or so called “vague complaints”.
In July 2021, I moved to Spain with my husband to renovate a house, a little outside of the city. But after doing this, I felt the urge to pick up my profession again, this time in Barcelona. Besides work I love to stroll around the city of Barcelona and visit expositions or be in the nature. Especially the Penedes is my favorite region for biking and running through the vineyards.

My name is Tim Taylor and I am a physiotherapist at Healthcare Barcelona. I obtained my diploma from the European School of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam. During my school career, I gained experience in the Netherlands and Belgium where I completed my final internship in the field of sports and neurorehabilitation.
After graduating, I worked in the Netherlands for 14 months before coming to Barcelona. During my time as a physiotherapist in the Netherlands, I saw many patients with sports injuries, neck/shoulder complaints, back problems, and ankle problems. I strongly believe in a holistic approach to healthcare. In which we work together to create the most effective treatment plan that focuses on recovery and prevention. In addition to my work as a physiotherapist, I am currently studying chiropractic. In this five-year program, I want to further develop my knowledge and skills. This way I can provide my patients with more extensive care and can offer more treatment options.
Besides my work, I am a sports addict. In my spare time, I like to play futsal/football and padel. I also enjoy a relaxing round of golf.
